NORM LAUDERMILCH, Chief Operating Officer
Norm Laudermilch is the Chief Operating Officer for Terremark Federal. Prior to taking over as COO in August 2011, Norm was the Senior Vice President responsible for the engineering, operation, and management of Terremark’s worldwide infrastructure. He is an established operations and security expert with over 20 years of technical and executive level experience. His experience covers areas such as computer operating systems, networking, satellite communications and infrastructure, security hardware and software, critical event monitoring and response, cloud computing, and data center design, construction, and operation. He has made industry contributions in areas such as intrusion detection and response, firewall architecture deployment and management, security policies and procedures, vulnerability assessment and management, physical security mechanisms and measures, disaster planning and response, and has developed innovative and cost saving approaches to running critical IT operations organizations.
Mr. Laudermilch spent many years focused on IT security threats and the remediation and response actions necessary to counter those threats. His knowledge and experience has produced articles in over 150 newspapers, trade publications, and magazines as well as television appearances on all of the major networks. Before joining Terremark he was CTO of Trust Digital, Vice President at VeriSign, Vice President at Symantec, a co-founder of the Internet SecurityAdvisors Group, a co-founder of the Internet Service Provider Security Working Group (ISPSEC), and was Global Director of Information Security at UUNET/MCI WorldCom.
His background also includes writing and teaching several classes on topicssuch as TCP/IP, UNIX, and Security as well as writing and publishing research papers on the topics of firewall design and mobile security. Mr. Laudermilch has held the highest level of national security clearances and has experience in numerous classified environments.
With over 25 years of sales achievement, the majority of her experience has been in the federal market where she has cultivated an extensive network of past performance and committed professional relationships. In her executive capacity at Terremark, Annie is responsible for establishing Terremark’s Civilian practice including the creation of a sales team and developing the channel and partner strategy as well as active participation developing Terremark’s over all federal business plan for the expansion of the NAP of the Capital Region, NCR, and for federalizing the full suite of hosting and proserve product sets.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Marketing from Northwestern University and has various Cisco sales certifications. Annie is an active member of ACT/IAC and has held various positions on the ELC Planning Committee as well as having participated in the ACT/IAC Partners program Class of 2006. Annie lives on a working farm in Culpeper, Virginia with her two boys and is active on several local community Boards and Foundations.
